David Matthew Skeen
August 17, 1995 – April 5, 2024
David Matthew Skeen, 28, of Corvallis, formerly of Sweet Home, passed away Friday April 5, 2024. He was born on August 17, 1995 to Michelle L. (Poor) and Steven R. Skeen in Baker City, Oregon.
He lived in Umatilla until he moved to Sweet Home in July of 1999. After David graduated from Sweet Home High School in 2013, he moved to Corvallis. David attended OSU graduating with a computer science degree. He worked at NuScale in Corvallis until he was laid off in January 2024.
David liked playing video games and working out at Next Round Fitness in Corvallis. He enjoyed reading, painting Warhammer models, playing board and card games with friends, streaming, disc golf and traveling.
He is survived by the love of his life, Kristen Roegner of Corvallis; parents: Darel and Michelle Bidwell of Sweet Home, Dale Keene of Sweet Home, Steven and Sheila Skeen of Pendleton; in-laws, Keith and Lucy Roegner of Lebanon; siblings: Kiashandra Zimmerman and Alexander Skeen both of Pendleton; grandmother, Sheryl Wyant of Sweet Home; grandparents: Richard and Deanna Keene of Sweet Home, Larry and Karen Skeen of Baker City; multiple step-siblings, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by grandfather, Arnold Wyant in 2003.
Celebration of Life will be 6 pm Saturday April 20th in the Walnut Barn at Dr. Martin Luther King Park, 4905 NW Walnut Blvd, Corvallis. Contributions can be made to Sweet Home Alumni Foundation designating the David Skeen Scholarship, to PO Box 83, Sweet Home.
