David John Miller, 69, of Sweet Home died Dec. 27, 2014.
He was born Oct. 24, 1945 in London, England to Ian William and Dorris Elsie (Clark) Miller.
Mr. Miller had lived in Sebastopol, Rohnert Park, Calif., and, from 1992 in Mt. Shasta, Calif. until moving to Sweet Home in 2003.
He was a retired sergeant for the Marin County Sheriff’s Department.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Mt. Shasta and Sweet Home.
He was a devoted father – true friend, loving and compassionate.
Mr. Miller enjoyed travel, abalone diving, reading, jogging, photography, wildlife art and knife collecting.
He was an “avid outdoorsman” and loved fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Diana McCurdy of Sweet Home; children Devon, James and Mandy of Novato, Calif,; brothers: Alan of Vacaville, Calif. and Doug of Somerset, Calif.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his mother and father.
