David Albert Ross, 66, of Sweet Home died Dec. 21, 2012.
He was born Oct. 11, 1946 in Eugene to Donald Matthew and Doris Eileen (Pittman) Ross.
He lived in Corvallis, Salem, Lebanon and Albany before settling in Sweet Home.
Mr. Ross served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, from 1970 to 1973. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed making ceramics, lifting weights and fishing.
He is survived by his siblings, Eva Wilkinson and Stephen Ross of Sweet Home, Karen Russell of Wilsonville, Faith Ross and John Ross of Albany, and Ruth Ann Ross and Jesse Ross of Corvallis.
Mr. Ross was preceded in death by siblings, Rick Ross (2008), Deborah Ross (2009) and Hope Tuomi (2007).
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday Jan. 5, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1155 22nd Ave. in Sweet Home. Final interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
