Winter basketball sign-up deadlines for the Sweet Home Boys and Girls Club are approaching rapidly.
Friday, Oct. 4, is the deadline for first- through fourth-grade basketball. The deadline for fifth- and sixth-grade basketball is Friday Nov. 1.
First and second grade will be coed; third and fourth grade will have separate teams for boys and girls. All first- and second- grade games will be played at the Sweet Home club. Depending on the number of teams, the third- and fourth-graders may have to travel to Lebanon and Scio. Practices for early winter basketball will begin the week of Nov. 4.
Fifth- and sixth-grade player evaluations will be held Saturday, Nov 2, at 9 a.m. for boys and 11 a.m. for girls. All players are expected to participate in evaluations. The Club will have two levels of play for boys and girls teams. Every child registering on time will be placed on a team.
Please make sure you register by the deadline. Any child who does not register on time will be charged a $10 late fee and will be placed on a waiting list and then added to teams, if they are not full.
