He was born the youngest child of John Thompson and Bertha (Bracewell) Morris in Coquille. His family home was on Milton Street in Lebanon for many years.
Mr. Morris could always bring a smile to your face and make you laugh. He held a special place in the hearts of those around him and his family. He will be sorely missed but we rejoice in knowing we will see him again in heaven.
He is survived by his sister, Frances Stock of Sweet Home; brothers, Richard and wife Ione of Junction City, Robert and wife Betty of LaPine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deane was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Bernita and Winifred, brothers, Earl, Bud and Bill.
Funeral services were held July 15 at the Huston-Jost Funeral Home, with burial in the Lebanon I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
