Editor:
The American people, our children and grandchildren owe our creditors $37 trillion dollars.
Haven’t we known or at least suspected our government, currently spending $2 trillion a year more than we take in, is bloated, inefficient and wasteful? For years politicians and presidents have promised to address waste, fraud and abuse of our tax dollars. Blah, blah, blah.
With the creation of DOGE, Department of Government Efficiency, President Trump is making good on his promise to the American people. But as extraordinary waste, fraud and abuse are being identified every day the Democrats are inexplicably fighting long overdue audits of government agencies.
Why? I don’t hear any arguments defending the ridiculous spending, just profanity-laced screaming about a constitutional crisis.
Why? What are the Democrats so afraid of?
We just learned the Treasury has issued payments in excess of $4.7 trillion where the checks and payments were not categorized, making them intentionally untraceable.
Why? Corruption by some of our elected officials has been suggested…duh.
Perhaps Billy Long will initiate audits of our congresspeople, who have mysteriously become super rich on their $170,000 dollar a year salary.
