As a lifelong reader of newspapers, I am so pleased to see the news of a weekly publication that will arrive in my mailbox and include current happenings here in Lebanon.
I know that the printed news media here in America, and probably around the globe, has suffered greatly due to the explosion of electronic communication.
However, local news, right here in Lebanon, remains of importance to me and a lot of citizens who live here. I like to know what the City Council is doing and the Mayor’s Office.
It’s nice to see stories about many of the good, happy events that are happening all over our community, staged by great folks who care for and do much to make living here so worthwhile.
For a few dollars, I can count on Sarah Brown to report on the good, the important, the encouraging and the not-so-happy events like accidents and the passing of fellow residents.
So, thanks to the entire staff at The New Era for including Lebanon in each issue of the paper.
