Editor:
With this letter I endorse Angelita Sanchez for State Representative House District 11.
I have known Angelita for over 10 years, as she has been a contracted resource for our company and local advocate for our communities.
Angelita Sanchez isn’t just a small business owner, she has driven one of her dump trucks on road projects in the forests of western Oregon. The sudden loss of her
husband caused her to take the bull by the horns to step up and manage the trucking company.
She is a single mom, a seventh-generation native Oregonian from Sweet Home, where she is a city councilor, lifelong Republican, and a founding member of Timber Unity, who advocated for working families and rural communities that depend on natural resources.
Angelita worked with State Sen. Cedric Hayden at the Oregon Legislature who vice chaired Healthcare.
She was directly involved in healthcare policy, access, affordability and the impact of regulations on patients and providers. She worked closely with constituents navigating complex systems, helping bring forward concerns about cost barriers, provider shortages, and the strain on rural healthcare.
In addition, at her request Sen. Hayden brought forward Senate Joint Resolution 1 (SJR 1) to create a property tax freeze for seniors, aimed at protecting fixed income homeowners from being taxed out of their homes.
Angelita is rooted in the same values that guided her life: faith, family and community.
She will fight to protect rural jobs, cut red tape and taxes, improve public safety, enhance healthcare, defend parental rights, and to ensure that local voices are not just heard, but respected in Salem.
Please join me during the May Primary Election to elect Angelita Sanchez as the Republican for State Representative House District 11.
Thank you.
