Dedicated doctors deserve thanks

As we prepare to celebrate Doctors Day on March 30, I want to acknowledge and thank the hundreds of dedicated physicians who work in Samaritan Health Services’ hospitals and clinics in Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties.

Physicians are vital members of our health care team. In addition to the demanding work they do every day, many also volunteer their time and expertise at one of our local free clinics or with organizations that sponsor medical missions in developing countries. They also are helping to lead the transformation of our health care delivery system to one that increasingly focuses on preventive health services while still providing exemplary care for those who are ill or injured.

We often hear it expressed that we are most fortunate to have access to such high quality, well regarded medical care. We agree, and our physicians are an important part of the reason why.
