Del B. Long, 79, of Sweet Home, died Feb. 27, 2006.
He was born in Olivet, S.D. to Ward and Anna (Wagner) Long.
Mr. Long moved to Sweet Home from Roseburg after retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. He also liked minerals and gems. He was very mechanically inclined and worked as a mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Joy; his children, Glen and Sue Long of Vancouver, and Denise and Don Sturdevent of California; brother, Oren Long of South Dakota; and sister, Thama Smith of Nevada; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held March 3 at Workman & Steckly Funeral Chapel.
