Deloris “Dee” Moore, 76, of Sweet Home died April 1, 2008. She was born May 2, 1931 in Perris, Calif. to Julius and Daisy (Greene) Curtis.
She married Wendell “Wink” Moore on April 23, 1951 in Arcata, Calif. They resided in Sweet Home ever since.
Mrs. Moore was an active member of the Madras LDS Church and the Sweet Home Gleaners. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, make doll clothes with her granddaughters. She crocheted many, many blankets and afghans. She never drove past a yard sale. She loved to camp, fish, or just spend time in the mountains.
She is survived by her daughters, Roxy Bentley of Medford, and Donita McKinnon of Sweet Home; sons Mike, Tim, Joe, Pat of Sweet Home, and Bob of Madras; a twin sister, Dot, and another sister, Micky, both of Lebanon; brothers Morris of Eagle Point, and Ben of Blue Lake; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband Wink; two sisters, Ethel and Julie; and one granddaughter, Laurie.
A funeral service was held April 4 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Sweet Home, with interment at Gilliland Cemetery beside her husband Wink.
