Dianne Classen, 80, of Lebanon died July 13, 2011.
She was born Feb. 7, 1931 in Pine Falls, Manitoba, Canada to Fred and Ivah (Nagle) Luhde.
Her family came to Oregon in 1944. Her family remembers her talking about marching in the Rose Festival Parade.
She played the cornet at a young age. In the 1960s she and her husband purchased an organ and she played for church. Mrs. Classen always had an appreciation for music even when her health no longer allowed her to play anymore. She was a member of Crowfoot Baptist Church.
She loved gardening, music, cooking, reading, sewing and all kinds of animals – cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens, ducks and geese.
Mrs. Classen is survived by her husband John of Lebanon; daughter Carol Biggs of Sacramento, Calif.; son Scott of Gates; three grandchildren; a sister, Alice France of Redmond; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; sister Donna; and brother Gene.
Private burial was at Gilliland Cemetery. No services are planned at this time.
