The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department was scheduled to finish removing diseased trees from Cascadia State Park this week.
Contractor DeSantis Directional Drilling, Inc., of Silverton is finishing the removal of about 80 trees, including four inside the park and the remainder from about an acre between Highway 20 and the South Santiam River along the south edge of the park.
DeSantis planned to finish by Monday.
