The Sweet Home School District will have 20 new teachers this year.
They are joined by two new administrators and five temporary teachers who were hired permanently this year.
New administrators include principals Todd Barrett at Holley Elementary School and Ralph Brown at Sweet Home High School.
Returning temporary teachers include:
– Lana Holden, half-time job share in social studies at Sweet Home Junior High.
– Jane Lake, Opportunity Room at Oak Heights. She has five years of experience.
– Mindie Medina, fourth grade at Oak Heights. She has 11 years of experience.
– Joni Nortune, fifth- and sixth-grade blend at Oak Heights. She has 12 years of experience.
– Teresa Wilson, special education teacher at Hawthorne Ele-mentary.
New teachers include:
– Drew Emmert, a first-year PE-health teacher at SHHS. He is a graduate of Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa, and SHHS.
– Ryan Graville, a first-year business teacher at SHHS. He is a graduate of Western Oregon University and SHHS.
– Patrick Hartsfield, a temporary language arts teacher at SHHS. He has 1½ years of experience and is a graduate of Pacific University.
– Stacey Jubb, a teacher on special assignment at Oak Heights. Jubb is a graduate of the University of Oregon with 15 years experience.
– Christopher Kimber, a second-grade teacher at Foster School with half a year of experience. He graduated from Oregon State University.
– Elizabeth Konstantin, a first-year kindergarten teacher at Oak Heights. She is a graduate of OSU.
– Christina Lamb, a first-year resource room-special education teacher at Foster School and SHHS. She is a graduate of Western Governor’s University in Salt Lake City, Utah.
– June Lemke, a counselor at SHHS. She has seven years experience and is a graduate of OSU.
– Elizabeth Lytle, a first-year teacher at SHHS. She is a graduate of UO.
– Jay Marble, a temporary health teacher at SHJH. He has seven years experience and earned his bachelor’s degree at the UO and master’s degree at the University of Alaska. He is a 1984 graduate of SHHS.
– Gwen Philipsen, a first-grade teacher at Oak Heights. She has 23 years of experience. She is a graduate of OSU.
– Deborah Rehart, a second-grade teacher at Oak Heights. She has eight years experience and is a graduate of California State University Sacramento.
– Susie Routes, a counselor at Holley and Foster. She graduated from OSU.
– Zachariah Sartin, a third-grade teacher at Oak Heights. He has three years experience and is a graduate of OSU.
– Daniel Shelton, a first-year advanced math teacher at SHHS. He is a graduate of Washington State University.
– Richard Sugerman, a third-grade teacher at Holley School. He has 13 years experience and is a graduate of San Francisco State University.
– Nazia Swartz, a language arts teacher at SHJH. Swartz has six years experience and is a graduate of UO.
– Michael Tuller, a vocational education teacher at SHHS. He is a graduate of Sweet Home High School and Linn-Benton Community College.
– Heidi Vokes, a speech-language teacher at the Central office. She has more than 20 years of experience and is a graduate of UO.
– Caryn Wise, a fifth- and sixth-grade blend teacher at Holley School. She has seven years of experience and graduated from George Fox University.
– Elijah Heide is a first-year band teacher at Sweet Home High School. He is a graduate of WOU.
