Dixie Lee Maddox, 91, of Sweet Home passed away in Albany on Dec. 4, 2025.
She was born Oct. 31, 1934, to June (Lancaster) and Lawrence Renne in Cottage Grove.
She married Elton L. Rinehart and they lived in Myrtle Creek for many years before divorcing. In 1983, she married Warren Maddox in Canyonville and moved to Sweet Home in 1990.
Dixie worked as a CNA for several families over the years and retired in 2014. She loved to work and care for her flowers.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy G. Bonham of Eugene; stepdaughter Florence Gonzalez; sister Janice Heffner of Bend and brother Dennis Renne of Idaho; four grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel L. Rinehart (2014); husband Warren Maddox (2017); son Gerald “Gary” Rinehart (2022); and siblings Marvin Renne and Darlene Hendrickson.
