Dixie Lee Samson, 61, of Sweet Home, passed away Feb. 21, 2025.
She was born Dec. 5, 1963, to Earl William Jr., and Jessie Kiwanis (Hauser) Davis in Torrence, Calif.
She moved to Sweet Home in 1970 with her family. She attended Sweet Home schools and graduated from Sweet Home High School.
Dixie loved animals and worked at a dog grooming business at one point. When she was younger she rode a pony in local parades. She loved and admired her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Pickle of Albany; son Dallas Samson of Sweet Home; father Earl W. Davis Jr. of Sweet Home; sisters Bobbi Sue Whitener of Texas, Kandy Thornbrough of Sweet Home, and Penny Moore of Arizona; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Davis (2024).
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
