Donald Bushnell

May 11, 1928 – June 18, 2007

Donald J. Bushnell, 79, of Sweet Home, died June 18, 2007.

He was born on May 11, 1928 in Minot, N.D., the son of Raymond George and Alta Leona (Boomhower) Bushnell.

Mr. Bushnell entered the United States Navy, serving during World War II from 1944 to 1946. Working as a truck driver all his life, he lived all over the United States, spending the last few years in Oregon, Washington, and Arizona.

Mr. Bushnell enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and his family. He was devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by his children, Bill of Vernon, Ariz., “Skipper” (Don, Jr.) of Covington, Wash., Leonard, Frank, and Russell all of Port Angeles, Wash., Brian Micheau of Walla Walla, Wash., Connie O’Malley of Sweet Home, Kathy Miller of Montesano, Wash,, Tammy Micheau of Aberdeen, Wash., Penny Vincent of Renton, Wash., Misty Bushnell of Aberdeen, Wash. and Susan Zink of Port Angeles, Wash.; brothers, Ray of Minot, N.D. and Ralph of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sisters, Josephine Chapel of Troy, Mont. and Mary Otis of Kirkland, Wash.; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marlene, brother Wally and sister Betty.

No services are planned. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
