Donald ‘Don’ LeRoy Walker

Nov. 5, 1930 – Jan. 16, 2013

Donald Walker, 82, of Brownsville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at his home.

He was born in Albany to Louis and Dora (Pugh) Walker Sr. He spent his entire life in the Brownsville area, attending school there and raising his family. Don was a log truck driver for many years and a past member of the Elks and Jaycees.

Don is survived by his daughters, Cindy Clark and Denise and her husband Don Thornton; sons, Larry and his wife Jeanine, Rich and his wife Lynnette and Donald and his wife Kristi; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Louis “Bud” Walker Jr. and sister, Dorothy Bunch.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda, children, Linda and Kevin and great-granddaughter Lexie.

A viewing will be at the Fisher Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 25, from 4 to 6 p.m.

A service will be at the Brownsville Recreation Center on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 11 a.m., with graveside services to follow, then a gathering for family and friends at 2 p.m. at The Old Courtney Creek School House.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Brownsville Rural Fire District and EMT’s or a charity of one’s choice in care of Fisher Funeral Home, 306 SW Washington St. Albany, OR 9732.
