Donald Tenbusch

June 23, 1926 – Oct. 20, 2006

Donald Anton Tenbusch, 80, of Sweet Home died Oct. 20, 2006.

He was born to Charlie and Elizabeth (Wiesterwal) Tenbusch in Yankton, S.D. He entered the U.S. Army Nov. 18, 1944 and was discharged Sept. 12, 1946. He received the Army Occupation Medal, Victory Medal – for Europe and Africa Middle Eastern Service Medal.

Mr. Tenbusch came to Sweet Home in the early 1950s. He found work in the mills. He married Oleta Ridenour and the couple raised five children.

Mr. Tenbusch enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as camping and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Oleta Tenbusch of Sweet Home; sons, Wayne of Albany, Tom of Lebanon, Paul and Stan, both of Sweet Home; daughter, Connie Rice of Sweet Home; brothers, SA, Dave, and Jim; sisters, Pat Rice, Fay Cowdrey and Bernice Webster; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Ron and Chuck; sister, Mary Duncan preceded him in death.

Viewing will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Workman Steckly Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
