Donald Wayne Chapman

June 16, 1940 – July 15, 2011

Donald Wayne Chapman, 71, of Sweet Home passed away Friday.

He was born June 16, 1940 in Los Angeles, Calif. to William and Myrtle (Ferrel) Chapman.

Donald lived his whole life in Los Angeles until he moved to Sweet Home in 2005. He started working in the fastener industry right out of high school. He remained in that industry throughout his life. Donald met Darlene Meeker at work. They married and raised two daughters.

They later divorced, but remained forever good friends.

Donald loved casinos and slot machines. He was a movie buff and loved collecting signatures and memorabilia. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of a league in Los Angeles. He loved his daughters and his pets.

Donald is survived by his daughters, Kimberley Garza and son-in-law Rudy of Sweet Home, and Deborah Geiger and her fiance David Shrader of Jefferson; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Tom Chapman and sister-in-law Carol of Lake Isabella, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
