Donna Hickey

Donna Joan Hickey, 88, of Sweet Home passed away June 30, 2026.
She was born Dec. 22, 1937, in Lusk, Wyo., to Maude L. (Riley) and Forrest R. Kobbe.
Donna lived many places when she was younger, including Wyoming, Minnesota and Eugene. She moved to Seattle in 1967, then to Hamilton, Mont., in 1989.
In 2006, her family packed up and moved to Sweet Home, where she lived until her death.
Donna married James Jerome Hickey in Billings, Mont., on Nov. 17, 1956.
She was a homemaker, but also worked at times as a restaurant server, hospital worker and a retail cashier. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. She loved ceramics, crocheting, leatherworking and making blankets.
Donna is survived by four children, Mary Kisman (Dave) of Boise, Idaho, Teresa Kloehn (Ronald) of Eugene, James Hickey (Pattie) of Sweet Home, and Richard Hickey of Lynnwood, Wash.; sister Wyoma Wagner of Elmira; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Hickey (2022); parents; sister Dixie Kechter (2003); and brother Jack Kobbe (2008).
Viewing will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9, at St. Helen Catholic Church. Rosary will follow at 10:30 a.m., with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Placement at Gilliland Cemetery will be at a later date.
