Doris Gertrude Moore Hatch-Stone, 81, died Dec. 17, 2011.
She was born in White, Ga., one of 21 children.
She spent her childhood in Tennessee, before meeting and marrying Wylie Harker Hatch in Bennetsville, S.C. in 1946. They moved to Auburn, Calif. and bought a ranch in Ophir. They had five children: Gary, James, Cheryl, Billy and Charles.
The Hatches and their two youngest sons to Sweet Home in 1969. Mr. Hatch died in 1990 and in 1994 she met and married Robert Foster Stone in Sweet Home. The Stones moved to Applegate for awhile and then to Port Orchard, Wash.
After Mr. Stone died in 2007, Mrs. Hatch-Stone moved back to California where her sons Gary and James and daughter Cheryl shared her care until her death.
Mrs. Hatch-Stone was a faithful Christian and attended Sierra Reach Ministries in Applegate. She also attended Community Chapel and the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Sweet Home. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by 16 of her siblings, her two husbands, her daughter, two granddaughters, and an infant great-grandson.
Funeral services were held in Auburn, Calif. on Dec. 27. Mrs. Hatch-Stone will be buried beside her husband Wiley in Lewis Cemetery in Sweet Home, where a graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursdy, Dec. 29.
