Dorothy A. Ward, 89, of Cascadia died June 28, 2014.
She was born in Myrtle Creek and has been a resident of Cascadia for the past 38 years.
Mrs. Ward was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and quilt making. Her quilts were always hand sewn and have won many awards at fairs and shows.
She is survived by her children, Mary Mills of Colorado Springs, Colo., Janet Hill of Harrisburg, Larry Ward of San Diego, Calif., Donald Ward of Buford, Ga., Karl Ward of Cascadia, and Michelle Ward of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Smith of Lakemont, Ga.
At her request, no services will be held.
