Driver and Dog Escape Serious Injury

Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District (SHFAD) responded to a single vehicle accident at the 27000 block of Rowell Hill Road, near the intersection of Rowell Hill and Moss Ln, Monday, April 1.

SHFAD and Linn County Sheriff’s Office responded to the wreck.

According to Battalion Chief Shannon Pettner, “The driver stated there was a dog in the road and he swerved to avoid it.” 

The vehicle, a 1997 ford pickup truck, rolled into a ditch and onto its side.

The driver, and his dog, were able to climb out of the truck with help from a bystander.

“The Driver was transported to Lebanon Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” Pettner said. “His dog was taken to a family member by the bystander.”  

This accident marks the first of this month.
