Drugs’ effects go beyond obvious

Editor:

The Planning Commission is trying so hard to gain better funding for Sweet Home’s growth.

So it seems there is plenty of money to spend on marijuana since there will now be four stores to compete for it.

This is a quote from Dag Hammerskjold, secretary general of the United Nations in the 1950s: “You cannot play with the animal in you without becoming wholly animal; play with falsehood without foreiting your right to truth; play with cruelty without losing your sensitivity of mind. He who wants to keep his garden tidy doesn’t reserve a plot for weeds.”

“So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain; it takes away the life of its owners.” – Proverbs 1:19

“For we brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can carry nothing out. …For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” – I Timothy 6:7, 10

Any drug can be dangerous; even medical science has proven that. A drug that is sold just to justify a “want” is dangerous when unsupervised and chosen just because it “feels good.”

Do we actually know what damages are done to present or future children?

Do we care?
