Three people were arrested following an early-morning drug-related search in Sweet Home last week.
At approximately 7 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, members of the Sweet Home Police Department, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office and the Lebanon Police Department executed a narcotics related search warrant at 959 Elm St. Police Chief Jeff Lynn said during the subsequent search of the residence detectives located and seized marijuana, methamphetamine, scales, drug paraphernalia and firearms.
Three adult subjects were arrested at the location.
Scott Lee Clark, 39, was arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled substance – methamphetamine; possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine; and frequenting a place where controlled substances are used and/or sold. Clark was also arrested on an outstanding parole warrant for dangerous drugs.
Sherri Lynn Smith, 41, was arrested and charged with frequenting a place where controlled substances are used and/or sold.
David John Majtan, 61, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine and with frequenting a place where controlled substances are used and/or sold.
Lynn said the investigation stemmed from reported concerns associated with an elderly male occupant of the residence and frequent “short-stay traffic” there.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending, he said.
