Edith Trulove

Fern Taylor Trulove, 97, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, a former Sweet Home resident, died July 4, 2009.

She was born Aug. 23, 1911 in Sidney, Iowa to Sanford L. and Cora (Lockett) Foster.

She married Bert Taylor in 1927, together they had eight children. Mrs. Trulove has direct descendants totaling 212. In 2007, she posed with her daughter Dorothy and her daughters/granddaughters for a six-generation photo.

The Truloves moved to Sweet Home in 1949. After her husband died, she married Ted Trulove in 1978 then moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Mrs. Trulove was a wonderful person and friend, her sage advice was always right. She never had an “I told you so” attitude, but one of “How can I help?” She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. To know her was to love her.

Mrs. Trulove is survived by her husband, Ted Trulove of Bonners Ferry; children Robert and Edaleen Taylor of Depoe Bay, Betty and Jack Gourley of Foster, Ruby and Tom Womack of Valley Ford, Wash., Dorothy Brockway of Salem, Joann and John Van Belle of Enterprise, Linda Johnson of Troy, Mont., John and Jimalee Taylor of Wasilla, Alaska; daughter-in-law Connie Taylor of Anchorage, Alaska; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bert Taylor in 1969; son Albert Taylor in June 2009; and son-in-law Bob Brockway in Feb. 2009.

Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at Gilliland Cemetery. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
