Edward “Wayne” Jones, 79, of Sweet Home, died Nov. 12, 2022.
He was born Dec. 2, 1942, in Idabel, Okla., to Raymond Jap and Julia Ann (Haley) Jones.
He moved from Idabel to California as a young child and then moved to Sweet Home in 1955. He has lived in the Sweet Home and Lebanon area since.
Mr. Jones worked in a plywood mill.
He had many friends that he hung out with and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Tony W. Jones, and daughter Trina D. Jones, both of Sweet Home; brothers Glen Jones of Albany and Ed Milligan of Virginia; sisters Connie Weisbeck, Linda Gustufson and Glenda Stevens, all of Albany; three granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his brothers, Leon Jones of California in 2020, and Jim Jones of Roseburg in 2011; and sisters Bonnie Daniels of Waldport in 2014, and Sandy Whipple of California in 1980.
