Edward Wilber Porria, 80, of Sweet Home died June 1, 2008.
He was born Oct. 13, 1927 in San Jose, Calif. to Clinton E. and Mae Ellen (Harrison) Young. The family moved to Oregon in 1955 from California. They moved to Sweet Home in 1980 from Harrisburg.
Mr. Porria worked for Eugene Chemical and Rendering as a truck driver from 1955-1993.
He was a Baptist and loved fishing, camping and spending time with his family.
Mr. Porria is survived by his wife, Roberta Porria; son, Rick Porria of Sweet Home; six daughters, Sandra Grieve of Lebanon, Beverly Drew of Maine, Deborah Reagh of Sweet Home, Cynthia Hoffman of Springfield, Barbara Richardson of Sweet Home and Patricia Russell of Sweet Home; two brothers, Bill of California and Clinton of California; two sisters, Margie and Mae Ellen; 18 grandchildren and 21 1/2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by step-dad Clinton Young; mother, Mae Ellen Young; and two sisters, Cleada and Dorothy.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
