Edwin M. Kleiven, 72, of Sweet Home, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005. He was born in Hoquium, WA to Samuel and Lisa (Laxin) Kleiven.
He came to Sweet Home seeking employment. He met Verna Susie Enyart and married her Nov. 6, 1964 in Lewiston, Idaho. They raised a family and he worked at Willamette Wood Products until his retirement in 1996.
He enjoyed his children. He volunteered as a Little League coach. He enjoyed getting children involved. He liked to garden and go camping with the family.
He is survived by his wife, Verna; children, Walter Kleiven, Suzetta Wilson, Danny Kleiven, Alan Kleiven, all of Sweet Home, Kathy Freitag of Lebanon and Darin Kleiven of Yumatila; his brother, Harvey Kleiven of Mill Creek; sisters, Elsie Metcalf of Amanda Park, Wash., and Helen Kleiven of Everett, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Private services were held. Workman & Steckly Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
