Effie May Rowell, 90, of Sweet Home, died Feb 10 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. She was born April 12, 1916 in Lebanon to Henry and Gilley Bell (Gould) Sylvester.
She married Leonard Pittman as a young lady. Their marriage ended in divorce. She later married Leonard Rowell, who died in the 1960s.
Mrs. Rowell lived in the Sweet Home and Crawfordsville area most of her life.
She is survived by one daughter, Geraldine Pittman, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dale Rowell; brothers, Ellis, Edward, Carl, Clyde, and Neil; and sisters, Grace, Martha, Margaret, Marjorie, Rosie and Ruth.
A memorial service was held Feb. 13 Twin Oaks Rehab in Sweet Home.
