The eighth-grade team went 14-8 this year.
“It was really good,” said Coach Kim Armstrong of the season.
“This was a beginning team last year (as seventh graders) and this year we had major improvement.”
She said the Tigers started out by reviewing basics, then moved to a 6-2 rotation when all the girls were available to play. Despite some conflicts that kept the team from being complete for some matches, “they did fantastic,” Armstrong said.
“My main goal was to instill confidence in them going into high school,” she said. “They all want to play in high school.”
