The Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District responded to a structure fire call at approximately 7:38 a.m. Saturday, July 27.
Authorities reported that the fire at 1215 49th Avenue likely started due to an electrical wire making contact with a top plate on a roof truss. The blaze began in the attic, necessitating access through the bathroom, a bedroom, and a closet to extinguish it.
Deputy Chief George Virtue, stated that the house sustained structural damage but is likely repairable.
The response included two command vehicles, one medic, one engine, and eight personnel.
No investigation into the fire is currently underway.
