Ellen Frances Woods, 73, of Lebanon, died at home on Nov. 16, 2007.
She was born Jan. 11, 1934 in West Point, Miss., to James and Lucille (Pulley) Harris.
Mrs. Woods moved to Memphis, Tenn., at a young age, where she graduated from high school. She married Clifford Woods, Jr. in Hernando, Miss., on Dec. 24, 1953. They moved to North Carolina and later lived in Phoenix, Ariz., for several years. They later lived in Portland nearly 30 years, where Mrs. Woods worked for the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office for 26 years. They moved to the Lebanon area in 1994 and have lived here since.
The Woodses enjoyed square dancing and belonged to the Lebanon Square Circlers and the Squarenaders in Sweet Home. Mrs. Woods also enjoyed sewing and reading as well as oil and water based painting.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Woods, Jr. of Lebanon; sons, Richard Woods of Waldorf, Md., Michael Woods of Roseville, Calif., and Clifford Woods III of Lebanon; daughters,Victoria Jones of Sacramento, Calif., Elizabeth Moore of Fort Wachuka, Ariz., Nicole Jacobson of Lebanon, and Sheila Huyhn of Huntington Beach, Calif .; brother, James Harris of Tennessee;15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Woods was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Gail; brothers, Norman and Neil Harris; and her parents.
