Sweet Home freshmen dominated Sherwood last week in their season opener.
The Huskies scored in every quarter in their 36-0 win.
Ryan Elliott opened the Husky scoring with a 65 yard run in the first quarter.
He added another TD in the second, a 12 yard run, and then iced the scoring drive with a two point conversion taking Sweet Home into half-time with a comfortable 14-0 lead.
Brian Lindsay put the next Husky tally on the scoreboard in the third quarter with a 55 yard punt return.
He added more fuel to the fire with a 60 yard punt return and an Elliott two point conversion.
Charlie Fitzsimons capped the Husky scoring fest in the fourth with a 55 yard pass reception from Cody Shipp.
Shipped found Elliott again for the two point conversion.
“Defensively, we dominated them,” Coach Don Knight said. “Our entire defensive unit flew to the ball and really hit people.”
Coach Knight said Josh Parker, Matt Campbell, Joe Ellis and Marlin Weikel all played “exceptional football.”
“Our offense needs to become more consistent as we hurt ourselves with a tremendous number of mental errors,” Coach Knight said. “Ryan Elliott ran the ball hard and Brian Lindsay put the game away right out of the locker room after halftime with back-to-back punt returns for scores.”
