Loren and Ev (Hostettler) Emmert, married June 23, 1956, in Hubbard,. are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 25, in the Sweet Home High School cafeteria. Loren Emmert has worked as a log truck driver and in construction. Ev Emmert was secretary at Hawthorne school and owned Sweet Home Florist before retiring. Their children are Doug (and Peggy) Emmert, Steve (and Sandi) Emmert, both of Sweet home, Greg (and Angie) Emmert of Salem, and Kelley (and Dan) Borreson of Scio. They have 11 grandchildren. Friends are invited to the celebration. No gifts, please.
