Entrepreneurship game Thursday

Think you’ve got what it takes to be an enterpreneur?

Test yourself and a friend in a game of Last Founders Standing from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 29, in Room 101 in the Linn-Benton Community College Sweet Home Center, 1661 Long St.

The event is sponsored by RAIN and is open to anyone from the community who would like to participate.

In approximately one hour players will form teams of two to four people and will be given a fictional start-up idea. The game facilitator will guide the teams through 10 challenges and decisions that real entrepreneurs face. Each phase teaches an important start-up concept and allows teams to earn points. The team with the most points wins prizes from the winners box.

Losing teams get prizes as well – from the losers box.

Bring your ideas and your curiosity. Non-business-savvy participants are welcome.

Food and beverages will be provided, along with prizes for all competitors.

The event is made possible by funding from a Rural Opportunities Initiative grant by Business Oregon, along with the cities of Sweet Home, Lebanon, Monroe, Harrisburg, Halsey, Philomath, Brownsville and Adair Village, Linn and Benton counties and the Ford Family Foundation.

A second Last Founders Standing game will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, also at the LBCC Sweet Home Center.
