Evelyn Sara Wells, 94, of Sweet Home died March 1, 2011 at her home.
She was born June 22, 1916 in Bishop, Calif. to Harry C. and Isabell G. (Halle) George.
She moved from Empire, Nev. to Sweet Home in 1963. She moved to Portland in 1969 and came back to Sweet Home after she retired.
Mrs. Wells accepted the Lord in 1983, was baptized, became a member and attended Lents Baptist Church in Portland. She worked at home, raising three sons and taking care of her home.
She loved gardening, collecting angels and bells, and enjoyed reading.
She is survived by her sons, George and daughter-in-law Jean Wells of Ontario, and Gary and daughter-in-law Shirley Wells of Sweet Home; seven grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Marvin Wells in 1993; son Kenneth Leroy Wells; brothers Fred and Art George; and sister Betty Love.
