Flea market
The Linn County Fair & Expo Center hosts the county’s largest indoor flea market on Saturday, March 16, at the Linn County Fair & Expo Center, 3700 Knox Butte Rd E Albany. Over 85+ spaces full with vendors selling antiques, collectibles, vintage and one-of-a-kind items. Early admission (cash only) from 8-9 a.m. is $6, regular admission from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. is $2, children 12 and under are free; parking is free. Annual Workshop
The Sweet Home Genealogy Society will be hosting a workshop, March 16, from 9 a.m – 4 p.m. There will be five speakers on tap, learn about doing family research. $25 for non-members, $20 for members. Getting Ahead with Solar Power
Oregon Blue Solar will be hosting a discussion about real benefits many homeowners can enjoy from the addition of solar power at 1 p.m Saturday, March 16. Located at the Sweet Home Senior Center. Breast Cancer Support Group
Samaritan Health will be hosting a virtual breast cancer support group 5:30-7 on Mar. 18. The breast cancer support group is a place to share hopes, fears and experiences for anyone diagnosed with breast cancer. Support groups can help cope with the emotional aspect of cancer by providing a safe place to share feelings and challenges. They foster a sense of community for those living with a cancer diagnosis and offer opportunities to learn from others. This support group will meet virtually using Zoom for health care. Good Grief Workshop
There will be a good grief workshop March 18 from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Lebanon Senior Center. Learn how to grieve in a healthy way, the dangers of unprocessed grief, and how to support grieving people as Ed Skipper weaves his personal story of loss into the presentation.
Annual Sweet Home Rock and Mineral Show
The 74th Annual Sweet Home Rock and Mineral Show will be held 10 a.m to 5 p.m March 30th & 31st located at the Sweet Home High School Activity Gym. Admission $1 Kids 12 and under FREE when accompanied by an adult; Theme: “A Pirate’s Treasure Chest.’ Rough rock, display specimens, minerals, fossils, demonstrations, door prizes. The event will include displays, demonstrations, vendors, raffles and food available for purchase.
