Everett Denver

Everett Denver, 81, of Sweet Home died Dec.. 28, 2007 at home with his family by his bedside. He was born Nov. 27, 1926 in Corvallis to Roy and Velma (Weaver) Denver.

Mr. Denver served in the U.S. Army during World War II, as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He married Georgeanne (Wilson) Denver in Reno, Nev. on May 23, 1953.

He was a log truck driver for McKay Logging Co., Jack Miller Trucking Co. and for Haley Construction for 18 years. He bought his own log truck in 1982 and drove until a heart attack forced him to retire in 2000.

Mr. Denver is survived by his wife, Georgeanne; his daughter, Vontrese Vandehei; son, Greg Denver and wife Ronda; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Don Denver; and a sister, Bonnie Dimick.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ellen Carper; and son-in-law Frankie Vandehei.

At his request there were no services. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel handled the arrangements.
