Why not watch the Sportsman’s Holiday fireworks show over Foster Lake in real style?
That’s the concept behind the “Fireworks Express,” a one-of-a-kind ride on period train cars to view the show on Saturday evening, July 12.
The adventure on the Albany and Eastern Excursion Train begins in Lebanon with an exclusive ride along the scenic South Santiam River on old-fashioned train cars; including a 1951 “Bar Car,” 1956 “Baggage Car” and a custom-built open-air flat car.
Delivered by shuttle to The Point Restaurant, guests will be treated to an outdoor pig roast barbecue, live entertainment and a special view of the Sportsman’s Holiday Fireworks Show.
n Beer and wine will be available on the “Bar Car” as well as light appetizers, provided by The Point Restaurant.
n The Santiam Excursion Train will arrive in Sweet Home at approximately 7 p.m.
n At The Point Restaurant, known for its sweeping view of Foster Lake, guests will be treated to live entertainment and a full bar in their private outdoor venue.
n Followed by a dinner of gourmet barbecue, including a Pig Roast and accompanied by tasty side dishes.
n At dusk, enjoy a front-row seat for the Sportsman’s Holiday Fireworks Show over the lake.
n A quick shuttle ride will return guests to the Santiam Excursion Train for a peaceful ride back to Lebanon, arriving at approximately midnight.
Riders will board the train at the train Depot in Lebanon at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person. This is a 21 and older event.
