The Sweet Home Volunteer Firefighters Association’s Facebook page has been rekindled to raise funds for the fireworks display during Sportsman’s Holiday in July at Foster Lake.
Last month the association said that it was $3,000 short of the funding needed to stage the annual fireworks show. Efforts to raise that money will include another fund-raising event, at A&W, on May 6. Firefighters will have apparatus there to show children and members of the public. The firefighters also will serve and bus tables that night.
For the Facebook auction, Nancy Patton has a page up and running and people may begin bidding on items. There will be a set date for closing and picking up items.
Items can be viewed at Trash to Treasure store, 1023 Main St.
The committee also is seeking quality donations to add to the online auction.
Once bidding on items is closed, the items can be picked up at Trash to Treasure.
Checks, cash or debit may be used for payment.
The Sweet Home Volunteer Firefighters Association will provide a receipt.
