Farrell Claude Finley, 85, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024. He was born November 7, 1938 to Claude and Audie (Pearcy) Finley in Scotia, California.

He lived in Louisiana, California, Lebanon, Crabtree, Salem, Corvallis and Sweet Home. Farrell worked in the lumber/logging industry. He did various jobs including working green chain and the whistle. He worked for a machine shop, and owned the Crabtree Store. He was involved in competitive dirt track racing and volunteered as a firefighter.

Farrell liked to fish and hunt. He enjoyed flying model airplanes, dirt track racing, motorcycles, playing video games, card games and watching movies. He also enjoyed doing machine work and building things.

He is survived by his daughters Brenda Tunnell and Molly Ashley; son-in-law Aaron Sundburg; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by daughter Linda Sundberg; grandsons David Tunnell and Patrick Carpenter; two brothers and two sisters.

A celebration of life will be 4:30 – 6pm Thursday, August 29, at Wiley Creek Assisted Living. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. www.sweethomefuneral.com.
