Feldkamp announces another run for Congressional Seat

Jim Feldkamp announced his plans on Sept. 1 at Linn County Courthouse to run in 2006 against Congressman Peter A. DeFazio for the Fourth Congressional District.

Feldkamp was the Republican Party nominee for the district against DeFazio in 2004. DeFazio won the election.

Following the 2004 elections, Feldkamp founded Feldkamp & Associates, a private firm specializing in marketing and development for nonprofit organizations. He also served as an adjunct professor at Umpqua Community College where he developed and taught a course on terrorism.

Feldkamp was born and raised in Roseburg. He served in the Navy for 12 years as a navigator, and he worked as an FBI counterterrorism special agent. He holds the rank of commander in the U.S. Naval Reserves.
