Oak Terrace is a busy place Saturday morning, Jan. 7, as residents turn out to enjoy falling snow. Sweet Home’s first significant snowfall this winter arrived to the delight of most of the kids in town and even some adults, who enjoyed the white stuff – before it turned to freezing rain later in the day and left an icy sheen that prompted officials to close local schools Monday morning.
