Fire destroyed a Wagon Wheel singlewide mobile home, 1283 44th Ave., space L5, on Wednesday, Aug. 25.
Firefighters received a report of the fire at approximately 2 p.m. On arrival, they found the majority of the home involved.
Flames were shooting from the front windows and left side of the trailer.
The occupant, Jaime Doherty, was not home at the time of the fire.
Two puppies were killed in the fire, according to the Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District’s report.
Investigators believe the fire started near a wall socket where the resident had just installed an air conditioner.
The home was listed as a total loss, with an estimated value for structure and contents of $15,000.
The fire department responded with two engines and 10 firefighters.
The fire was knocked down quickly once firefighters were able to put water on it.
Doherty has been assisted by the Red Cross and the Firefighters Association burnout fund.
