A two-alarm fire Thursday morning, Jan. 6, destroyed an unoccupied house in the 40000 block of Hwy. 228 south of Sweet Home.
According to the Sweet Home Fire District, a passerby reported the incident shortly after 3:40 a.m., describing flames in the structure’s second story and vehicles in the driveway.
SHFAD immediately dispatched an engine, an ambulance, two water tenders, a ladder truck and three chief officers.
