The Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District approved its 2002-03 budget during the SHFAD board’s regular meeting last week.
The new budget, a total of $1,450,635, reflects an apparent decrease of about $550,000 from last year.
This change was the result of budgeting based on actual spending history, which was unknown for the new district when it developed its 2001-02 budget, Fire Chief Mike Beaver said.
