The Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District (SHFAD) is asking voters to divide the district into two different property tax zones on May 17.
Ballots will be mailed out on April 29.
The ballot measure would divide the SHFAD into two property tax zones, SHFAD Board President Don Hopkins said. “The reason for the two zones is that one receives both fire and ambulance protection and service. Zone two is basically provided ambulance service only.”
