Firefighters from multiple local agencies are working to battle a large vegetation fire located between Rice Road and Hwy. 228, west of Upper Calapooia Road.

Although there may be reports/rumors on social media that the fire has been contained, state and federal laws prohibit us (and social media “reporters”) from publicly reporting or disclosing the content of radio communications without authorization. This restriction is based on both federal and state laws that prohibit divulging intercepted communications.
